I'm looking forward to reading book #5, but hope that it returns the focus to a local mystery and the museum. It's still a really enjoyable read, and I'd recommend it for those who have enjoyed the other Imogene Museum Mysteries. As usual there is humour, charming and quirky characters and a teeny bit of romance thrown in as well. There were of course some local subplots - the wrapping up of the previous book with the trial that Meredith is a key witness for, as well as some run-ins with local wildlife, brought back a little of the community feel. Now since this is a short book (it took me 90 minutes to read) I don't really want to go into plot detail as it'll give it away - but I will say that I felt that the crime this book is centered around was a little bit bigger than the usual cozy mystery with the museum featuring very little, and that did take me out of the immersion a little bit. A bomb has gone off, and it seems there's something extremely serious going on. In "Tin Foil" however we have a bigger plot at hand. The previous books have all been quite sequestered although new individuals have been introduced from out of town, it's been focused on a small community with fairly small, yet interesting and intriguing plots.
She's a bold, intelligent woman who loves her community and often gets herself into sticky situations whilst trying to do the right thing. Meredith Morehouse is the curator of the museum, and manages to always be at the center of every mystery and crime in the area. This is a cozy mystery series, centered around a private museum in a sleepy Washington State town. This is the fourth book in the Imogene Museum Series.
